The Varied uses of shit
I was pondering the width and breadth of the English language the other day, when, inevitably, I came to the word "shit." In context, the uses of the word "shit" are many and varied (and fun!). The Oxford Dictionary of the English Language defines it as, well, it doesn't define it. However, I came up with the following definitions, idioms, phrases, and shit on my own self. Please feel free to make additions.

- Something considered totally unacceptable

Ahh Brendan you have forgotten one major one. Shit -(n.) anything that is extremely cool at the moment. As in "Yo that Halo 2 is the shit!" Sometimes used with a lengthening of the vowel (pronounced shiiiit) or an extra vowel added before the i (pronounced sheeeit).

I'd like to say something about the term "beotch". Many people have been spelling it "biatch" which is entirely incorrect. I prefer "beotch" simply because it looks more masculine (-ia- is for faggots, -eo- is pimp)
Acceptable spellings are:

Bisnatch
Unnacceptable spellings are:
